As mentioned in the January 27, 2020, Feed Utah Food Drive notice, the Utah Area Presidency, together with the Young Men, Young Women, and Primary General Presidencies in partnership with JustServe, invite children and youth and their adult leaders to participate in the Feed Utah Food Drive scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020. The food drive is a community service effort to benefit food banks and pantries throughout the state.
We invite participation in the following ways:
- Primary children ages eight and older and their adult leaders are invited to distribute bags and door hangers to each home within their ward boundaries during the week prior to the collection.
- On the morning of Saturday, March 21, young women and young men and their adult leaders are invited to collect donations of non-perishable food left at homes within their ward boundaries and deliver those donations to a designated site.
- The stake Young Men president is invited to help coordinate this effort within their stake, including the pick-up and distribution of bags and door hangers to ward leaders.Locations where bags and door hangers can be obtained, along with a list of sites where the food donations should be delivered, can be found at FeedUtah2020.org/stake
While we invite all stakes and wards to participate, there may be some locations where significant travel or distance make participation less feasible. Others who desire to participate in the food drive may go to JustServe.org to find additional opportunities to join in this important effort.
