Brothers and Sisters—
President Russell M. Nelson began our most recent general conference with an inspiring message of hope entitled “Moving Forward.”
He reminded us of the opportunities that are revealed during our obstacles. He reminded us that this change of routine provides a good excuse for an increase in discipleship and individual testimony growth. He said:
“I pray that we as a people are using this unique time to grow spiritually. We are here on earth to be tested, to see if we will choose to follow Jesus Christ, to repent regularly, to learn, and to progress. Our spirits long to progress. And we do that best by staying firmly on the covenant path.”
When I’ve found myself in uncertain surroundings — physically, emotionally and spiritually — I have found peace in staying on the covenant path. Eventually, the surroundings become familiar again and I “get my bearings,” enabling me to move comfortably through life again.
One “road-side marker” we can look forward to each week is the ordinance of the sacrament. Today is another Sabbath day that calls to us for a chance to partake of the bread and water, symbolic of the present and eternal sacrifice of the Savior, Jesus Christ, for each of us. It is a chance — as much as we’ll take it — to reflect and repent. It’s a chance to feed our spirits that “long to progress.”
I look forward to seeing many of you in our sacrament meeting later today. We will be hosting those with the last names that begin with M through Z in person at the church. We look forward to your smiling faces and the chance to share the sacrament together. Others are invited to view the sacrament services at the link below:

Like last week, sacrament will include an opening hymn, opening prayer, announcements and business, speakers and a closing hymn and prayer. After the closing prayer, the broadcast will conclude and families and others at home are invited to administer the sacrament at that time. The sacrament will be administered in the chapel immediately following the closing prayer of sacrament meeting.
Please reach out to me with questions or clarifications.
After sacrament, Sunday School classes will be held virtually. Youth classes will be from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Gospel doctrine class will be held for adults starting at 1:30 p.m. and running to 2 p.m.
Below is a list of links for Sunday School classes (youth classes are identified by birth year of youth class members).
