Tabitha’s Way Service Opportunity (Jan. 11-15)

Posted on January 10, 2021January 24, 2021 by Brother Valentine

Dear Members of the Spanish Fork River Stake,

One of the organizations hit hard during this pandemic is Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry in Spanish Fork.

Tabitha’s Way provides food assistance to over 8,000 people per month; over half of those receiving food are children.

In 2020, the two Tabitha’s Way pantries (Spanish Fork and American Fork) provided over 8 million meals and 900 Thanksgiving dinners in Utah County alone.

Due to COVID restrictions, Tabitha’s Way could not depend on food drives as they have in the past.

In response to this tremendous need, 13 local stakes have combined resources to take turns providing donations.

Our entire stake as one will have four turns during 2021.

Our first turn is during the week of January 11-15.

The critical needs at this time are:

  • Top Ramen
  • Boxed Mac and Cheese
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Cereal
  • Canned Meats
  • Feminine Products
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste

In order to help maintain a balanced food supply, the items below are ALWAYS HELPFUL.

  • Shampoo / Conditioner
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
  • Baby Wipes
  • Diaper Sizes 4, 5, 6
  • Toilet Paper
  • Dry Rice
  • Dry Beans
  • Canned Meats
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Dry Cereal
  • Noodles
  • Sugar (5 lbs & smaller)
  • Flour  (5 lbs & smaller)
  • Cooking Oil

Take Tabitha’s Way donations to the following address:

45 East 100 North, Spanish Fork

Follow the signs to the back of the building and the donation center. There are two lanes; the one furthest east is for patrons receiving food, and the west lane is for those dropping off donations. Bins are available from 8:00am to 5:00pm to place your items in.

In summary, we invite you to take donations to Tabitha’s Way between 8:00am and 5:00pm during this week, Monday, January 11 through Friday, January 15.

Please consider supporting this worthy cause.

Thank you,

President Aaron Peterson, Spanish Fork River Stake President
Cassie Morgan, Stake Relief Society President
