Sisters—
I hope you are well and happy. I find myself thinking about the talk by Elder Holland “The Miracle of Hope.” If you have a chance to read it please do- I will try to link it to my thoughts here.
This talk speaks of hope and how to keep it alive in us. “Hope is a precious gift linked to our faith in God and our charity to others.” I know these last six months have brought so many changes in our lives. Faith, hope and charity have been what has gotten me through. I have seen so many of you reaching out and helping your neighbors and serving one another. This ward is truly amazing. Thank you.
Elder Holland also mentions the two greatest commandments- “To love God by obeying His council, and to love our neighbors by showing kindness, compassion and forgiveness.” If we take time to pray and listen to the promptings that come, we will find hope and courage. Please reach out to your neighbors and those you minister and we can continue to get through this together.
